Summer means ice cream but not just any ice cream – creamy organically sourced soft serve from Milkcow Cafe. Milkcow Cafe is one of the most popular premium dessert cafes in Asia, and they recently opened a location right in the heart of our home, Toronto.
So, of course, we made our way there one sunny day to indulge our taste buds in some creamy goodness. Lucky for us, the lineup only started after we made our way into the Cafe. They have a pickup and walkout setup because, well you know the not so friendly COVID-19. We ordered an oreo milkshake, original honeycomb soft serve, and a jiggle tested souffle pancake.
The Review
Any other ice cream I have ever tasted pales in comparison to the milky and delicately creamy soft-serve, with real sweet honey. All it took was one scoop, and I was a goner. I was saddened that there wasn’t more to consume because a few spoonfuls and I was left with an empty cup that I contemplated licking clean.

Next up was the Oreo milkshake. I mean, I’m a firm believer that Oreo, anything is always a good choice, and I was right. You don’t get any oreo chunks like you would an Oreo McFlurry from McDonald’s (well duh, its a milkshake). Instead, there are teeny-tiny bits of oreo blended smoothly into their organic milk, and at that moment, the only thing that could make me happier was the souffle (come to mama).

So, I like my souffle with a jiggle – I’m sure this a common requirement among foodies. I was slightly disheartened to have gotten my souffle in a plastic container, unlike the boxes that they advertised on Instagram, but that didn’t dampen my hunger. Even in the container, the fresh fruit souffle put on a show for us. With the jiggle test in check – it was time for a taste. I was pleasantly surprised by the soft and subtle flavors emitted from the desert. I liked that the robust flavors of the strawberries and blueberries blended well with milky whipped cream and smoothly delightful souffle.

The Verdict
I mean, if my raving review above hasn’t convinced you to consume by the sugar-fulls, then I have lost. We did put a bit of dent in our wallet, but it was expected – you’re paying for full-on real flavor. Milkcow Cafe served up the perfect after-work treat.
